I Love Crabs!

Got down the ramp about 1pm, it was a real low tide..Went out towards the mouth and started crabbing by 1:30. 1st run on the line we netted 26 crabs, only 2 males. Finished up at 2:45 with 111 females and 7 males before they slowed down.  Crabbed in 12-14 ft of water and most were about 6". Not bad for a afternoon on the WYE. Cooked up 6 dozen and made some friends with the neighbors, the rest are going to a big pot of crab soup for the winter.

Great catch cm, I had a very similar day on 9-23 with Anchor, still alot of females.  The big boys should be next before the end of the season. Grin Grin

You know I figure a lot of us men get out to get away from the ladies. And what happens we wind up around them even on the water.

Wtg and nice catch!
