when out at TRUXTUN PARK on Monday at 5.00 am crabbing at 5.30 got a bushel by 11.30.
when I got back to the truck at 12:30 to find some one busted out my window just to get a saw.
cost me $ 250.00 to get the window fix, not a cheap bushel.

Sorry to hear about that. Next time I'd launch out of Smith's Marina. They charge $20 which is a little steep but it beats $250.
I was there crabbbing there at the same time. It was my first time. Nice place to crab as an alternative to driving to the shore.

Sorry to hear about the windows. Truxton park is a nice place, the surrounding residents not so nice though. Hope they get them.

101 Crab,
Real sorry to hear about your vehicle. I have been there without any problems but then again I do not leave anything inside my vehicle. Most of the scumbags are looking for anything visible that they can go pawn off for drug money. You can bet they are not taking a saw to do any type of work. I hope you reported it to police. The more reports they get the more apt they might be to patrol the area a little more frequently. I plan to launch there on Friday. Then again maybe I'll park the truck and take my deer stand and bow and post up in the woods. Just kidding but it is a tempting thought.

Thats the second time in less than a month that a fellow crabber from this site has had their trucks busted into to get stuff stolen out of them at Truxton Park.
Whenever I drive down Hilltop Lane (past the Truxton Park exit) there are always 5 cop cars doing traffic stops and giving out tickets for speeders. Maybe they should be alerted to the thieves that are costing US money!!!!
