this just in starting on jan 1 /09 you will now need a federal number along with you delaware  fresah /salt/crabbing license . it appears this will be in leu of a federal fishing license  that the feds are trying to get off the  ground / more to follow

If the individual states with access to costal waters do not put their own licensing program in place, they will not be given access to federal monies.      New Jersey will be next on this list.

This is a done deal.... A national registery for fishing in the EEZ and fishing for fish that swim in from the EEZ.

read this week they are delaying it a year .me and zig got ours takes about 2 minutes, but i dont know it you will have to display the number or not
