Couple of additions to the CT regulations:
No "Chesapeake style" traps allowed.
All traps must be tended while fishing.
No limits.
Sponge crabs must go back.

Just got the new regs dated 4-09.
No changes this year from last year.
May 1 ~ Nov. 30.
5" hard; 3.5" soft
Now let's hope the crabs get here this year!

Just heard that the CT saltwater fishing license was signed into law by Gov. Rell on Thursday July 2, 2009.
You will need, I think, a CT saltwater fishing license to catch Blue Crabs....$10.00
Next year it will probably be $20.00.

But is Crabbing considered fishing?? It is crabbing. Have you read the new law, and can update me. I could care less, as I have a fishing license, and I think it should cover me. or do I need a separate one for saltwater? Any help ??
Thanks for a response.
