off the coast of N.C. is hitting hard now. I went this morning and crabbed 600 pots and caught 26 bushels. All of them were in the river. I went yesterday and fished the sound and did pretty well. 19 bushels out of 700 pots. My question though..............WHERE DID THE PEELERS GO? ?? ?

Hi, We are in N. Florida on the East Coast and there are NO crabs here either.....!! We are going broke...150 set yields only a box and a 1/2 on a 2 day lay over. Is it the weather....or just the worst year in 15 years that we have seen. Saw other bad years...but this is the worst...St. Johns River Jacksonville. Hopefully we can all hang in there. Tired old Crabber! Florida

It's the same all over the state right now,we have 2 more days before we can set traps back and I hope the short break will at least make the first few pulls decent.

Pulling 300 pots a day in the Chesapeake and averaging about a bushel. This time last year I was getting 3-4 bushel per 100 pots.
