ol Blue always has questions. He answers a few every once in awhile too.

This board is the most I frequent in all of the years of surfing.
I trust most people here and respect their opnions. Since boards and forums are no longer free adding another forum subscription to the budget just stinks.

Would any of the other board members/mods be interested in a "guns and ammo" section of the forum?

Mods, If there were enough interest could we get one?

thanks

"Mods, If there were enough interest could we get one?"  That would be totally up to Steve...

Interesting thing.  This evening I was filling out the renewal for my CCP.  In VA you can not CC in a place that sells liquor or a church, but you can OC in those places. I think I'll just strap on my Ruger and forget the CCP.  Grin

I know I thought that was an interesting point made in class. It doesn't make sense.

I GOT ASKED TO LEAVE A FOOD LION RECENTLY WHEN SOMEONE TOLD THE MANAGER TO CALL THE COPS "HES GOT A GUN UNDER HIS SHIRT"
(SHE WAS FROM CALIFORNIA)
I HAD REACHED FOR SOMTHING ON THE TOP SHELF AND SHE SAW THE GRIP OF MY .45
THE MANAGER AND THE RENT A COP WERE POLITE AND ASKED ME TO LEAVE
I WAS JUST AS POLITE AND REFUSED.
SOMEONE CALLED THE POLICE THE MANAGER SWEARS IT WAS NOT HIM OR HIS STAFF
UP TO THIS POINT NO ONE HAS ASKED FOR A BAGE, PERMIT, MVP CARD...... NOTHING
WHEN THE POLICE ARRIVED ALL 4 CARS WORTH
1 COP ASKED TO SEE THE CARD AND ALL WAS GOOD. AND BY NOW ALL MY BEN AND JERRYS HAS MELTED
HAD TO START OVER SHOPPING

THEY TRIED TO POST A SIGN BANNING WEAPONS FROM THE STORE
I DID NOT LAST
THANK YOU GEORGE ALLEN!!

Good for you for refusing to leave. It is time that people are educated to respect our second ammenment right. If they chose to be unarmed sheepels that is there right. It is also my right to "keep and bear arms" NUFF SAID

I was once that thought gun ownership was ridiculous
in that "why do folks need guns?"

I am learning otherwise.

Gun show in Chantilly this weekend :-)

Think home invasion...
Hot Friday or Saturday night.....
At best Cops might get there in a half hour...   That's a long time to enterain a mugger...

True story,  I called at 18:00 on a Saturday about 4 drunks at my pier.  Sheriff called back within 10 mins. to tell me they were not coming..... State Trooper pulled in at 22:00ish just to see if we were OK.... You can have 911.  I'll trust my dogs and the 12ga.

Bottom line the police are not here to protect you.. they are here to invesitgate crimes and solve them.....  In my area I am 1/2 mile from the local sherriff dept..... but out of jurisdiction... so I fall under PA state police ..their barracks is 25 minutes away by highway......  so I count on me and Mr 10 gauge, 1MR 2 gauge or Mr 1911 colt 45 ACP......  As jack as said in the past it is better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6!!!!!

When crabbing is over and I switch to hunting, i'm usually not back on this site much until crabbing is soon to start up.  Would be nice to chat about hunting with all the friends i've met here.  Just my thoughts

Very good words to live by, we don't have to many areas that are like that where I live, most towns have their own PD's.  However, in the upper and lower portions of the state, State Police are the local Law Enforcement.  On midnights in Sussex they are lucky to have 3 cars working (and that is over a 100 square mile area), if it is near shift change you can bet its going to be awhile before the nearest car gets to you.

I would like to see a topic on Weapons and Hunting for the off season, just gives all the members something to BS about when the crabs are hibernating

I am trying to get the Poll reopened It seems that some more people might be interested in taking the poll that did not have the chance.
