Stamford/Darien/Norwalk??

I am new to crabbing in LIS.  Kind of turned off to eating anything out of here until a few years ago.  Now that I can see my feet in the water I figured I may try it.  I am looking to add crabbing to my list of things to do off the boat with the boys.  I am out of Stamford; are there any areas of interest that I should be working?? Are keepers in yet? What water temp is ideal to bring them in?

Working from the boat, and knowing that traps are a No No I am hoping to find a calm cove to use drop traps unless anyone has other ideas.
