Does anyone have any idea on a restriction regarding fishing or crabbing? because of a certain endangered species bird feeding etc?

Well, I think that the answer must lie with NJ Department of Environmental Conservation's website. I'm from NY, and I usually look to our NY state DEC website for most answers to questions like yours. The information may not be right out front for you to see and may require some burrowing into the website. If not, send them an email in the 'contact us' section.

Good luck.

Never heard of such a thing, always see people crabbing Stockton Lake (which is along the National Guard base) when I had a house in Manasquan, ah the memories

I think you should be fine if you do, not sure if you will have any big crab catches though for crab. The waterways in that area are very small and all you really have is that lake and Watson's Creek in Mansquan which is fed by the Inlet.  Best of luck,

Jason, thanks for that info.  I actually came back from Seagirt, N.J. at the New Jersey Military Academy. I was crabbin' all day with my mom.  I found it disappointing due to the fact that the crabs were pretty small and had to throw them back into the water.  Is it the wrong time to go crabbin' right now?  Because the crabs haven't maturedf? What is the season? What month does it begin and end?  Also how do I know in finding out about low and high tide? I did check the website and it said high tide was 8 this morning and when I got there at 9, it was kinda low.  It would help me greatly if you can answer all these questions. Thanks.
