crabbing in SC

Getting ready to move to SC at the end of Sept. From Md here-always crabbed on the Chesapeake bay and tributaries here. Seems from what I have read, everyone uses pots, traps and handlines. Doed anyone go trot lining down there? Is crabbing good enough to have a feast every weekend? Good enough to retire and make a few dollars crabbing on the side? Will be moving to Loris-15 mins from the north coast. I have heard the ICW is good as well as the creeks around Murrells Inlet. Am looking forward to putting the boat in for the first time and checking out "new" waters! Any helpful info would be great! Thanx

Wish I could help but, good luck in your new area and enjoy your new waters. The last post is telling you that the waters in s.c are very productive.
