try jordan lobster farm in long beach.....he always has at least 7 busshels and they are fresh......but be prepared to pay 15 to 40 bucks a dozen depending on size....not sure but they might give you a SLIGHT discount on a busshel or more.

15-40 per dozen? wow, that seems pretty expensive to me although i haven't purchased from that area before.

i know in the chinese markets in queens, you can get blue crab for about 10-15$/dozen.

I don't know what size crabs your talking about but good hard #1 crabs in MD. sell for 20-40 a dozen here is a website to give you an idea of the price this guy is a little high but sells good crabs http://www.melscrabs.com/ so I would think that up there the price is at least this high for good crabs just something to think about before you buy

jumbo 1's are the biggest about 8" to 9" point to pont they go for about 40 to 50 a doszen.....like i said you Might get a SLIGHT DISCOUNT IF YOU buy volume.

good 6" to 7" go for about 25 a dozen.....the good thing about jordan lobster farm is they keep em in a salt water tank with running water so they stay just caught fresh.

i have tried other places that are cheaper sometimes they are good somethimes that are dehydrated.

p.s. 96% sure i will get out tommorow way early about 6:30pm and try to report back but it will not be from captree.........lng island south shore is running best in several years right now

Dondada, or whatever you call yourself...

Stick your attitude where the sun dondada shine.

This particular forum concerns CATCHING, not BUYING.

Any questions?

i simply replied to something this thread was about, whether buying or catching.

unclebuttsy or whatever you call yourself, you don't have to post remarks like you're the jackass bluecrab forum police, that's all i'm saying. there's a lot of ways to skin a cat (or give advice). what matters is how you go about doing it.

i may try to get to captree this weekend as well & will report back.

Buying crabs has nothing to do with this particular forum... I hope a moderator is paying attention.

How stupid do people need to be? Go buy your crabs A**hole.

yeah unclebuttsy! i hope a moderator kicks him off the board for asking where to buy crab in long island!

calm the F down retard. this is a blue crab forum & people are going to ask questions that may not be in the exact location. so what? it still pertains to northeast & blue crab. that's pretty ignorant for you to call someone stupid over a question on where to buy crab.

we're just all looking to seek/share information here and if you don't have anything good to share, don't share it.  Grin

Holly cow! What a bunch of bad attitudes! Shocked If you post on the wrong page on the fishing forums people are polite. They will answer your question and then tell you where you can get more info on your off topic question.
Post it here and they want to rip into you??? Not very brotherly to the other crabbers, are we??? Huh Ive run into toothless idiot crabbers on the docks that were more polite. freak

This is why I only crab in Jersey, they're smaller, but it's safer and I don't need to wear orange on my boat or on shore when tending traps.
