You can get into the crabs at Woodland.  I'm not saying they are thick but you will catch some.  You will need to messure them all.  Good Luck.

There was a ton of com. pots at woodland about 3 weeks ago, now there is only one string out north of the pier if that tells you anything! There are some little bait stealers in the creeks but havent seen anything of any size yet. Couple more weeks yet!

Smyrna clayton area but I grew up around middletown. I know right where you are at, One of the few very nice areas around middletown anymore! You are lucky, guess the restrictions there have worked out!

I was just out to woodland beach this past friday night, didnt have jack for luck fishing, couple catties and one tiny striper. I didnt see any crab pots anywhere south of the bridge, we went for a ride just before dark and went to the north side of the pier past the oyster beds, saw a few boats fishing, but didnt see anyone catching anything. Never saw any crab pots in the creeks, the big water was a little rough for me to go out to far away from shore so I didnt get to see if any of the commercial pots were still out. I did have a guy tell me last night he has been catching some somewhere around woodland, didnt tell me where, using a couple commercial pots(allowed two per person) But until I see it I dont believe it! Good luck! and let us know how you did!

Went out at Woodland on 8-31 in the afternoon and caught two dozen keepers from 5 to 6.5 inches. Threw back the females and even caught 1:1 keeper to throwback Shocked . Crabbed for 2.5 hrs in 5-8ft depths.
