On 9/3 the guy (Wetdream) claiming to have caught that 11" crab said the picture was on his friends cell phone and it was going to be sent to him that night. He said he would have the picture posted by the following week. They aren't there yet.

Wetdream is trying to get a measurement for me. Apparently Barners aren't as cynical as BCAers.

So is this guy going to post a legitimate picture with a ruler across the shell, or is this another UFO sighting?

That thing was tiny...I caught a crab off Maxwell Pt. several years ago that was 9" between the eyes and glowed in the dark. I sold him and I heard he was beiing used as a bar sign for some joint in Va.

I copied the picture from bassbarn (had to go look, just couldn't help myself!) and here it is. Cute kids! Not sure I'd let my little ones handle a crab as big as that one is purported to be, be too worried they'd get pinched, and one that big could inflict some serious damage to small fingers.
Looks to me like a big crab, but 11 inches? Sounds like "man math" to me.
That is my niehbor and his kids,I will ask him.

When they get that big, the meat tastes a little rubbery...
