7:45 first trap hit the water. 12:15 pulled 30th trap out of water for last time this year for my boat. near the channel in full wind, lotsa 1-2 foot swells. 14 crabs, various sizes, various weights. I talked to 2 other crabbers that caught 0. Both were closer to Maxwell point trying to get outta the wind. 1 guy near me said he had about a dozen, his last trip too.

I was out at the mouth also. Only guy in the center of the mouth running a line as far as I could see. 1800ft of line(comm) in 8ft of water. finished at noon with 2 bushel mixed males. Worse conditions I have crabbed in a long time. Some of those swells went 3ft. I should have saved the days vacation from work because today was not a day that being on the water was better then going to work. I was whipped when I got home. They are still in the mouth but it won't be long they are heading south. The fat lady is about to sing.

Hey Medimac, think I saw you going back in. Were you in the skow that had about 30 gulls circling? Guess you were rebaiting or debaiting. Then later parked in front of Redmers? If that was you it had to be rough with that square bow.

I started out in the rough wind and waves also with the first 4 runs producing 4 crabs. Made one nice move into about 6 foot of water and finished in 4 hours with total 90 gp jumbos!Gp still has a couple weeks

There's more than 25 to 30 crabs in those baskets. The orange baskets hold roughly a bushel and a quarter of crabs.

Yep, Great catch medimac, musta been the angle that made it look like less. I don't have one of those orange baskets but have seen them. I was thinking they had about 8 or 10 holes top to bottom on the sides. I guess it must be more like 20 holes. You know, a lot of folks get on here and claim they got a bushel in a couple hours while everybody else crabbing in the same area don't come near that. Glad to hear your not one of those guys.
I was supposed go with my buddy in his boat to Goodhands on Tuesday but he's got a medical problem and can't go. Sounds like the weather might not be too good anyway, showers in AM & "breezy". Good luck in the GP Tuesday, if you go. Be curious to see how you do.
