Okay, i started off wrong. I am going to try and keep a Capt.s tally here and running count of where i am and what i do this week here in Chinco.
Posted to Jack (I have never met you but if you are around this week I would love to see you sometime, how about wrights seafood tuesday or wednesday evening). Got here about 4pm, got settled in the house and put comm pots out, just one to start with chicken wings, went to grocry store and hour later pulled pot with one small crab. Outgoing tide. Conclusion, crabs are here, gotta get it together. Put two other pots out off same pier. 45 minutes later, 2 small crabs.. crabs are here ( so is tired and dogs and beer ) gotta sleep. More posts coming. Russ

In all the years I've been here, we have never been in the place.. Always wanted to give it a try... ..... As far as crabbing, get some bunker from Capt. Steve's. Put fresh bunker in the pots everyday. Save the chicken for the grill....
You can have 2 pots per person...

After the first day the internet wouldnt work anymore and it took me forever to get back on here. Dad and Gloria showed up monday afternoon and they were excited to be there and dad had to check the pots on the pier soon after getting settled in. Tuesday and Wednesday the weather was nice and we headed out to Assateague to check out a little surf fishing until the tide was scheduled to start coming in. It was kinda windy but overall pretty nice on the beach but we caught no fish. So I take them back on the road a little ways and show'em how to throw the cast net to catch some fresh bait. What I usually catch are some mullet (at least thats what I think they are ) that are anywhere from four to 12 inches in size. This time I only catch one mullet throwing my net but there are 2 or 3 crabs in the net each time, so we decide to try a little shore crabbing with one little recreational throw ring and some string with chicken on it. I'll let the pictures tell the story but Dad and Gloria were hooked and loved it, it was non-stop action when the tide was coming in.
