Went out at 9 just to try my luck since I had some time today, got one doubler running 10 traps, big heavy male but that was my only crab so I put him back. Ran the traps 3 times total, nothing serious. Water temp was 60-61 and it was low tide, I heard from some workers they had been seeing boats coming out with two bushel so I may have to bait up the line and go further out. No other boats to report and only saw 2 trailers at the marina.

Went out on Friday, the 9th. 29 traps in 6 1/2 to 8 1/2 feet. Was between Chilberry Pt. and the Superpond. Pulled all traps three times and got two crabs of marginal size. The wind got up and we got out. (Threw the crabs back.) I didn't see anyone with crabs although there appeared to be several people crabbing out toward the mouth. May be my last trip of the season. Would like to know if anyone is catching crabs in the Bush.

Took the wife out on 10/11/09 on the Bush River.  Caught only 8 large males.....Next time I pick out the spot on the Bush.  Too far up river for the season.
