The wife and I decided to try a little crabbing today.  We launched out of Merritt Park and got to Bear Creek about 11:00.  We were using 15 traps in 6-12ft and managed 16 crabs by 2:00.  First 2 runs we got 3 crabs and last 2 runs we got 6 crabs.  In between it was very slow.  It was picking up at the end, but we had to scoot to get home for the kids.  Most were 5.5-6", got 4 over 7" and 2 close to 8".  They're steaming now, so I'll report back on quality later.

We did make a run out to the Key Bridge, but it was so windy we only made 1 pass(got 1 crab) and headed back to Bear Creek.

The crabs were a little light, but the family enjoyed them.
