Went out today and was gonna bait up one more time but with the threat of a Nor'easter coming this weekend I have decided to call it a season. I'll save the last bag of bunker for spring. This passed spring we were late getting bunker cause the weather kept the netters in port. All and all it was a good season, even with having to sit out 8 weeks of crabbing due to a little health problem. Got to play commercial crabber a few times. Enough to know I don't water to be one. Got the biggest crab of my crabbing life. Stayed in the boat all year. No boat problems. Freezer is full of meat and we still got todays catch to steam up tonight. There are still some nice crabs out there but, for me, I heard the fat lady singing this am. Now it's rockfish, surf fishing, and ducks... Come on spring..

How can it be done on the lower ESVA? The crabs are crawling into the boat up north The crab houses closed last weekend. From what I hear the market for Sooks is terrible... Went out today and was gonna bait up one more time but with the threat of a Nor'easter coming this weekend I have decided to call it a season. I'll save the last bag of bunker for spring. This passed spring we were late getting bunker cause the weather kept the netters in port. I didn't think there were any crabs or fish on the ESVA. Nice read Jack. Have a relaxing winter. I'll try not to P/O too much this winter. Yeah right.
