I stumbled across this website looking for bait alternatives in the warm water.  Just curious if anyone has used it and what their success was.  Sounds like it is made out of cow hide.

Sorry the forum won't let me do a hyper link.

Hmmm.... 5 lbs for $20.  DC, do you have any stake in the bait co?

I'll stick to 40 lbs of necks for $16.

No not spamming at all.  I have nothing to do with the company, if I did, I'd post that I found an awesome bait that works like a charm.  So much that there is a waiting line to get into my traps and then give my web address.

I did find this thread where it was mentioned.

I run stone crab traps.

Right now the water temp is over 80 degrees so the pigs feet doesn't last very long.  Maybe 3 or 4 days.  Plus, the crab hasn't shown up in mass yet.

If what they say is true that their bait lasts weeks, then it may be worth looking into.  Now I get to my original post, because they can say all they want on how it catches but until I hear it from someone not affiliated with the company, I too don't want to shell out the $$ on magical beans.

40 lbs cost around $100 and that is around 120 pieces of bait.

Sorry DC, sometimes a new user shows up just to peddle their product.  I see you are just inquiring.

I'm on the Texas coast, tried this stuff a few years back, didnt work too well. Has anyone tried those pucks or the Purina crab and crawfish bait? Menhaden and mullet seem to never fail for me.

Just an update, the wholesale place I get bait bought a pallet of it some time ago.  They are now fire-saleing (sp) it, which is a bad sign...
