Ran 23 traps with necks today at the mouth of Queenstown creek. Extremely SLOW.  12 crabs in 4 hrs. Ran them from 8-15 feet and caught at least one crab in every depth. Water temp. was 56.6-56.9 degrees all day. Crabs were all good size from 6-8 inches. No females and caught no little ones. No watermen working the area which was a surprise. Think I am done for the year.

A buddy of mine took me out last year on November 11th in the same place(Chester river) and we caught a bushel of large crabs in 22-23 feet of water. Lots of pulling but well worth the effort. Yesterday was frustrating but I still might give them one more shot if it stays fairly warm( and if I get a deer early in blackpowder season).
Good luck guys if you go.
