Feel screwed hearing the Navesink is still hot(OCEANIC REPORT of 10/22). I opted for Cheesequake based last year being good. Still not sure if my bad day carbbing still trumps work.
I opted to go to Cheesequake, as last year I did well on 10/20/08. The Board's 10/20 BLACK Navesink report did it for me. Problem is yesterday's Cheesequake water was WAY cooler- 54-55 degrees than the 58 I had in 2008.
About 14 small/medium sized crabs. Disapointingly small and very slow pick over 5 hours of crabbing. Tried fours spots and I decided to call it quits at 5:00. The wather was GREAT though. But it gets far worse.
On the way home from Chesequake my trailer frame breaks on the Route 9 bridge 200 feet above the Raritan River. I find my towing insurance does not cover it.
A $125 tow later, one sore back, and 5 hours later I get home to see the Yankees lose

((( and cook my few tiny crabs. The few claws I picked out were GREAT!
So I am still not sure if work would have been nicer. I guess since I haven't already decided it can't be all that bad right?
