Mrs. Samuels is off of work through Tuesday. If you call the Belair DNR office with the license number and the persons name they will tell you if it is active or any freezes on it right on the phone. The notary does not need to be present for the watermans signature. If you look on the form the notary seal is up where the purchase amount is.
Remember you need commercial waterman that have had their licenses for a minimum of two years because it says you should have acted as a crew member with them for 2 years. I know the waterman signatures a lot of times end up being a formality and who you know and can get them to sign it. I know when I got mine at the DNR office they checked the 3 waterman that signed my form by running their numbers on the computer to make sure they had licenses for a minimum of 2 years.
Also remember that you are buying the business and gear and the LCC comes with that so on the form make sure you list some type of equipment purchased with the LCC, even if its just a dip net and trotline, just something.
Need any other help send me a message. glad to help you out with questions.

I wouldn't be surprised if the active LCC's don't end up being worth that much after the DNR gets finished weeding them out. After all, they're giving them $2260 for inactive ones.
