I usually dont start catching until the last weekend of April and run until last weekend of Oct.But the technical answer is the crab season in Md opens legally on April 1 and ends on Dec 15 in the bay.

That's the official season.  But for most Maryland weekend chicken-neckers, mid June to mid/late September are the main crabbing months here also.
