Went out today with Bob once again . a cloudy day all day but it was nice on the water . got to the ramp around 10;30 or so .There was ONE trailer in the parking lot . that was it . we crabed for about 4 1/2 to 5 hours, ended up with a little over 3/4 of a bushel . all in all a good day the mose we got per run was 5 or 6 , but we always got some on each run . we crabbed fro 11 to 24 feet . Thanks again Bob for another great trip . Bob will post a picture of our catch .

Great job! You must have been way out and very deep! I only got 4 yesterday. That is a super catch for this late in the year. Maybe I went too early ... and you caught them after they woke up! Are you going to hit the Wye again this year?

Man that was a relaxing day, nobody at the ramp, nobody in our spot, very calm water. We went slow all day and just took out time to be sure we stayed safe, there was plenty of floating debris hidden under the tons of leaves on the river that could really ruin an outing. Dropped the traps in different depths and the first run produced 5 keepers, the second run was 4 keepers and a female, the worst run was 2 keepers and the best was 6. We did do a little measuring and kept some packed ones under 6", most of the crabs were good heavy ones, but quite a few of the big ones had only one claw. Surface temps stayed around 54.5 and were closer to 58 back at the ramp, we might be out there one more time, if not the the end was a good one for us. Some pics from the day.
