Wye Mills 11-16-09

Went crabbing today. Not good. I only got three nice crabs, no throwbacks. I did catch one horseshoe crab though, it took me 10 min to get him out of the trap. Talked to a commercial guy he said he only had 2 dozen. Caught 1 at 20 ft, 1 at 8 ft and one at 15 ft. I think I am done for the year. Unless I hear about a hot spot. Good luck out there!

WTG
Makes me want to drown some more necks on Saturday.
He heard you had the only game in town and you had all the crabs rounded up in "your spot".
Gotta love it don't you? The earth is 70% covered with water and they had to lay on top of you.

Well, two weeks ago, Kevin Cullip and I went out to the Wye both Saturday and Sunday. Nothing..not even one crab. Met up with SuziQ, her husband and a helper...all three great people....extremely friendly. We crabbed from 12' to 30'. Nothing but a great day on the Wye! I am done for the year, that's for sure!
But I do have 30 lbs of crabmeat, vacuum sealed in my freezer for those long winter nights!

heres a pic before our last 3 runs..only pic i have with friends cell phone...we crabbed about 5 hours(10:30-3) and the last 3 runs were..5, 11, and 6 so it filled up some space quick. they weren't good ole Gp monsters but they were rock hard crabs that tasted great. I knew it was going to be a good day when our first run, 3rd trap had 2 keepers
