River is frozen solid, no crabbers or boats seen. Even Maxwell Point is dead. No one appears to be catching any crabs there right now. Give a new report when the status changes!!

Hope everyone had a great holidays and just dropped in to say hey! See y'all in the Spring After the thaw.  Grin

Actually you can get out if you put a bit of effort into it. My friend who has the islands in front of Days Cove has been smashing them. He and a couple guys got a banded goose 2 days ago, yesterday he got several Mallards, Black ducks and geese. Tell your friends to go to the Mariner ramp and see if it is already opened by him (or someone else) and then call in a reservation with the state blindsites in that area. I have been seeing a lot of Geese and Ducks around there as that water is wide open from the center of the bridge back towards Days Cove from the water flowing in from the Little and Big Falls. Ducks and geese are piling up in there right now. Everything else is froze over solid as far as the eye can see. Once they get out from Mariners they will hit open water near the rr bridge and can get back to the adjacent state blinds

Oh yeah the Bush River is froze over solid too as far as the eye can see in both directions except near the RR bridge there are some open patches. No crabebers or crabs though!

Thought they were State Park or County land...

Nope, a few of the break off islands are, where jetties separated them from the mainland.  My bud Nick owns 2 or 3 of them I think its 3 now that they have been separated by erosion, and there is one other hunt club.  Now there are state blinds through there in the marsh areas on the way to the reservoir.

Nick is who I was talking about and actually he leases those 2 islands at the Mouth of Days Cove and guides on them as an outfitter. He got 2 bands off a duck and a goose last week. He has been really baggin' them there lately. The rest of the area blindsites are State controlled blind sites you call in and reserve. Pretty nice spots to hunt too. If any one is interested in a great hunt give him a call. I built his website at www.steenoutfitters.com

Back in the 70's I hunted that area along the creek with a guy that lived on Rumsey Island. We even body booted geese on the eastern side of Pooles Island.

Actually you should really know what you are talking about before throwing peoples names around.
You realy are clueless so dont act like you know.

Bean I would appreciate it if you didn't tell everyone what we are shooting in Days Cove.
I appreciate what you are trying to do but I have enough problems with people jumping in my blinds.
Do you want me to give the Patapsco River hunting report?
