Guys, Where can I get bulk chicken necks in the first state? The old Townsend now Mountaire Chicken Plant used to sell bulk chicken necks, backs back in the day but they closed up that little shop on 24.

Mike, The only place that I've been able to find down there is Capt Tony's down on 24 on the way to whitecaps. He will order them. They were 22.00 for a 40 lb case last year.
The only other place that I know of is in Chester. I'm sure there has to plenty of other places, but I can't seem to find them.
I've been told that they are hard to find because that's what they make chicken hot dogs out of. Really makes you want some, eh?
Let us know if you find somewhere else down there!

i've found a place in north wilmington.
its on the corner of Marsh Rd. and Silverside Rd. Its a meat market. Right along side of it is Second Source Computer Store.
I know the meat market carries necks, but i am not sure if they can get them in 40lb boxes and fore the life of me I cannot remember the name of the store.
i'll post it up tomorrow.

Fred, it's Haldas Bros. Seems they only have by the pound. Thats the only way I ever got them there in the past. Yanks farm in Chester has 40# cases. Farmers Market Boothwyn Stotfultz Poultry will take orders for 40# for good , fresh necks.

If you get desperate, I work on 202 right off of 95. I can pick em up from Chester and meet you on 202 one day. It would still be a hike for you but it would problably save you 15 miles each way.

I knew I could count on you guys. You covered all the areas from north to south. I'll check out Haldas' today after work and the spots off rt. 5 and rt. 24 in Sussex. I hope Allen's has a company store. Thanks to all of you again and I'll let you know what I purchase after I get the freezer. I'm going to try to crab this weekend with the fleet. Any of you going? I'll be out there Sat and Sun fighting the crowd at the dock Just wish I didn't have to fight the crowd-but I guess it's the price you have to pay! I know one guy down there who said I could just park the boat at his dock for the weekend-but the tide goes out so far that if you get there at low tide you sit there waiting for enough water..lol.

The problem I am seeing is are we talking about skinlees chicken necks or skin on... 'cause we all know crabs don't like skin.. I get mine from Becettie Brothers(sp?), on RT 2. Nice and clean, not sure how much in bulk, but a simple phone call away.
