you can omit the roe.  Too many recipes out there call for chicken stock.  I think that's wrong.  Just do crab stock.

The best cream of crab soup I have made is the J.O. Cream of Crab mix.  It calls for 4 1/2 cups milk.  I use a quart of 1/2 & 1/2 with 1/2 cup milk.  This is creamy and so good!  After picking the meat an easy soup is perfect.
