I like a light beer, like Old Milwaukee, and it's gotta be ice "make your teeth hurt" cold. Now, the wife went out last weekend and got me a case of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company's Bigfoot Ale (a tad expensive at $48.00 a case). This is a barley wine beer, 9% alcohol. Had to try one bottle Saturday night and it's pretty good stuff. I'm going to save it for my first steamed crabs of the season. Come on crabs!!

I give my crabs the exact same thing I drink, Miller Light. I just had a few of those last night with a few friends. I can't wait to steam up some large crabs and drink a 6 pack of beers on top of the crabs. Pezz I like to drink Rootbeer too. But if I'm not having a beer with my crabs I would rather have a coke to drink. Rootbeer is a little to sweet to have with crabs.

Holy smokes, I can't believe i haven't discovered this discussion....
I love to use Killian's Irish Red to steam. I also put them back while picking crabs as well. A few other choices are Corona Extra w/ a lime and MGD (for drinking).
You guys are killin' me. I'm craving now. -Bdc
