OK everyone, lets try to keep this as HONEST as we can. What is the biggest crab you have caught this year?

So far we have caught a 9 1/4" from tip to tip with huge claws. I wish we would have had a camera. Bet your bottom I'll be taking that along from now on! laugh

Mullica River, but I should add that this is unusual.  Most aren't near that big.  He was solo in the trap and when you aren't used to seeing something that big it looks twice as large as it really is.  I measured it though so it was a true 7 and 1/4.

I think it's the water in NJ....I think it appears to add 2 inches to a crab......till you get a good look at it!

My biggest so far was 8 1/2 inches from the Severn.  yes I measured him, but sorry no picI also had about 8 1/4 from the wye.  Only been twice this year.. things are slow to warm up.. should give soon...  Howard on here had pics of a 9 1/2 incher he caught within the past month.   rumor had someone at the wye caught a 10 plus per Chuck Schnaittman who has the boat rental by the wye landing.  There has not been as many crabs based on the reports, but everyone is saying how big the crabs have all been everywhere this year.
