I received this E-mail on a topic I had flagged to notify me of replies.

A topic you are watching has been split into two or more topics by rivercrab.

I'm unsure of it's meaning. Could one of you more experienced crabbers on this board tell me what splitting a thread means?

rivercrab is a moderator and part of what they do is if everybody gets way off the topicthey will split it and leave everything pertaining to the topic there,sometimes if there is a heated argument then they split and take the threats and stuff the Administration to be reviewed, remember posting on this board is on the internet and is a family site,that is why we try to save all the goofy stuff for the KINGS REALM enter at you own risk

Thanks RD, so if I'm understanding you, the topic is not really split into another topic as it reads. The wording would make one think that. So rivercrab must have intercepted a post that was either off topic, confrontational or vulgar and only that post was removed?

Al it can be 1 offensive post or several,sometimes they are removed never to be seen again and sometimes they make 2 topics out of them, they also take care of all the spam that is posted

RD, What if the post was on topic, non confrontational, or vulgar and still was removed just because someone didn't like it. I read it. That's just not right in my opinion. It's censorship in it's purist form and does a disservice to a forum that I thought was here for an open exchange on thoughts, techniques and ideas of members with a like intrest.  The post split all right. I hope you read this before it splits too......

I moved the post to admin for reveiw due to the content. The person posting under that topic had replied only to cause a confrontation. Some people come on here to cause problems. I moved it so it wont. We all know this Crabhawk Product has been an issue for over a year now. No need to stir the pot anymore than it is.

The moderators of the forum do not move or delete posts due to personal reasons..The problem with the post was it had been worded to draw a heated debate once again. Im not going to justify why I did it. I dont have to. The fella who sells this trap only comes on here to promote his product. Nothing else. He has no other use for the forum other than that purpose. His latest post was aimed at those who do not like his product. But I dont have a problem with him posting that he doesnt care if they like it or not. Just dont use phrases that bring added attention to cause an argument.

Good move Scott. I read the thread after seeing neckers ?. Saw nothing outa line IMO. Thats why you are a mod Grin Plus a lil comp/debate never hurts. I've seen worse lately that "should" have been killed in the early stages, IMO again. Never seen the CH, but wont badmouth it till I do. I agree with KC on this. May work elsewhere? I also agree that this "Steve" is here JUST to sell, and should be banned. UNLESS he becomes a supporting member. Hence PAID AD. JMHO.
