Okay, now im confused.
everyone says throw back the whiteys, but those whiteys definitely look full and heavy. maybe im not squeezing in the right place to check em?
maybe the King can explain the proper technique to me.
By the way Rick, maybe we should have a place in the Kings Realm where everyone can post pictures of their beauties. kind of like an amature mumbo hunt??

Brad..the best way I can explain a "whitey" to you,or what we here in Phila call a "Tin" crab is this...grab the crab around its points...if it is soft, the crab has just molted out of its old shell and is feeding to fill out its newer or larger shell..hence the crab meat inside will be minimal...Sir Stevo is the one who taught me how to figure that out

Where do you launch a boat at the Elk?
Elk Neck State Park has a nice launching facility, up close to the mouth. Bohemia Vista on the Bohemia is also a decent ramp, only a few minute ride to the Elk. There is also 2 other ramps at the north end of the river, I try to avoid these the water is very shallow there especially low tide.
