I got my 1st ss crab in my new tank-------I took the eyes,lungs, male part, yellow stuff out, fryed him in 1/2 flour 1/2 corn meal. he tasted burnt but I didn't overcook him. Did I forget to take something else out!!!!!!!!!

If you cb4c, they don't take long at all to cook. How long did you cook on each side? Pull the apron off, scrape off the lungs, cut the face off . I eat the guts though, but cb4c is ok also. I don't thing you forgot anything, sounds like it was over cooked.

I did take the guts out before cooking; I didn't wash him .
but maybe I did just over cook him

Doesnt take real long to fry them on each side. We use peanut oil because of the lower burn factor. But canaloa works good. Dont fry but about 3-4min per side until just goldeb brown.
