Any good places to crab without a boat around Sarasota?

Not yet. I tried on the piers by Mote Marine, but did not catch anything. I think I'll try the fishing pier under the Ringling bridge next. They are opening a Pinchers Crab House in January on Clark Rd. We went to one in Ft. Myers and the crabs were great.

Thanks for the fast reply. I tried going near the bridge near Mote Marine on Saturdey and I got my brand-new trap stuck on the rocks and snapped the line. Not happy. I heard that there are blue crabs on the grass flat between the bait sho and the Mote Ctr. I'll try again next weekend and let you know if I suceed.
