Does any body know if there is another product coparable to gluvit. Gluvit is about $125 a gallon. Its sold as a marine product so I think its more expensive then it has to be. thanks for any help.

Jeff if you have fiberglass over wood you wont need Gluvit,all you need to do is Gel-coat it to seal the glass

I have plywood (untreated) bottom and sides . I then put 5200 on all the seams, My plan was to then treat the wood w/ Gluvit.
Did I missunderstand about Gluvit. My impressin was if I used Gluvit I didn't have to fiberglass.
What would you use? I probably should have made the trip to Fl and bought the one you had b/c this tank sure is adding up quickly. Thanks Jeff

Sorry Jeff, I thought you already had fiberglass on it, yes the gluvit will work fine in place of glass,if you use 2 coats then make sure you sand inbetween the coats or it wont stick

fiber glass was my 1st plan, but I think Gluvit would be easer.
I just am going to order Gluvit. I am taking pictures as I build and I will post them when I am done-----Thanks Jeff
