Did Baltimore move Huh Last time I checked and this was with a stop in DC and 7 stops around and in Balt it was 758 miles round trip. If I had one stop in Balt it's about 700 round trip. Better have your odometer checked as it may be adding a extra mileage. Grin But you are right at least I did'nt have to go that far ..........about hmmm 90 miles round trip, it pays off big time when the crabs are there Grin

Fly, I think he was referring to us northern neighbors that DID drive over 900 miles!  You need to understand Slayer, his little short bus doesn't get out of the city too often!  Grin

That's because the Slayer doesn't follow the Pied Piper unlike you bozos.  Except in your case it was Dr. Joe Crabs.  I see he had his license to practice revoked.

Joe Crabs had all these people follow him down to lake matemuskunked.  They were all excited because Joe kept posting all of these pictures of crabs he caught.  People came from afar to only get skunked and all boozed up.

Kirby gave Joe Crabs an honorary Phd Certificate for crabbing, hence Dr. Joe Crabs.  After the trip he lost his license to practice and his honorary title.  laugh

I'll bmail you all in advance about the crabbing. I got skunked this past weekend, but you don't know until you try. It's easier for me since I live kinda close Grin I'm holding out until April, due to health stuff and the lack of crabs. The water was around 50 crabs do pop out about that temp. But become more active around the 60 mark. We have some warmer days and mild evenings ahead so that'll help. Besides I think I'm going to see if my boss man will give some of those SC crabs he's been buying, that should help my cravings laugh laugh You know it's called CWS (crab withdrawl syndrome) shakes, jitters, constant stomach growling, playing with the tongs and gazing at the Old Bay cannister Roll Eyes laugh

We went on 6/10 -11/04. Were getting 2, 3, and even 4 in a trap. The crabs were all 6 1/2 to 7 3/4" with 70% 7 1/4". We just kept sorting them out. It was awesome, like the bottom was layered in crabs. Cheesy or a Joe Crabs get together. Roll Eyes Grin

I don't rememeber the canal off the top of my head  but a picture is below, and the Repellant kept the helicopter flies from landing. laugh laugh laugh

Okay I'm somewhat partial to NC crabs, but from my area(Neuse River, Pamlico River,Pungo River Both the sounds etc) north from here to Delaware has      THE BEST CRABS  The crabs south of my location have a funny smell and taste, as most of those crabs contain green guts(mustard)(Mustard is yellow) those crabs say in SC/Ga have a mucky, barnaccley rotten bait taste,Sure the crabs can be large and fat but taste has to be aquired. I rather eat dredge crabs from Va anyday. A little grits washs off, and if ya really want to be picky clean em' before cooking(popping the tops) Yes the Skeeter Lake crabs do have a cornmealy texture and a lazy I eat anything attitude to their taste. But [Sam Hill] they're free to catch minus necks and a little gas. NEXT TIME BRO DON'T STEER BCA BROTHERS AND SISTERS WRONG laugh laugh HINT: check with me

Horse didn't say they were bad, I think the only bad ones are the ones that glow in the dark up here in the Hackensack river. laugh laugh You enjoy the stuff good for you, but most of the time they go in the sauce and my wife don't want that yellow stuff floating around in her sauce. laugh Wink Hey I enjoyed it there all 3 X because the company was always good. I know the canal and wont mention it's name or nick name in hopes it wont be raped until I get there again in April. I use handlines only traps are fun gotta watch the turtles though. We catch our limit each time and even cull through them just taking home the rusty heavy guys and girls that are at least 5 3/4/ -6" had some 9"s too. My father inlaw is a crabber and brought over a 1/2 bushel of crabs he said that were the biggest he caught, compaired to ours, ours ate his for breakfast. Hey I think I was down there 11/4 too First Dec was the last I went. Gotta get up with me next time bro Grin
