I wouldn't worry to much, if you reread his original post he's only interested in producing the "soft hoof".  Shouldn't be much of a market in Carolina for soft shell hooves. Grin

WHAT  Huh Huh Huh We have hooves, actually they're called pig trotters Grin Grin And yes there is a mkt for them to. More I thought about it, even though Jeff is right about the guy meaning shell for hoof. Is that a soft hoof sounds like a terrible disease that eat the flesh away at the bottom of your foot, like ring worm. Tongue Roll Eyes

Give it time.  The importers will overfish their supplys since they have no regulations.  Demand for ours will once again be favored.  Keep in mind that it is Phillips Seafood who is driving this import market for crabs.  Then they try to make themselves look good by donating money to C.O.M.B.S. research here in Baltimore.

Go figure Huh Lack of crabs results in great live bushel market, strange from years past eh? BUT as stated before it (the shiz) and crabs will hit around June 15th. Crabs have to come off this shed and males have to escape the wrath of the sooks Smiley
