Im off to a horrible start.  There is nothing about yesterday that I can claim as fun.  Well, i guess the first hour was nice.  Never fired a single shot.  Never saw a bird within 300 yards.  Decided to call it quites early and go to work cause there was nothing flying.  Got back to the boat and it was high and dry.  Tide went out and boat was sitting on the mud.  I achored it off the shore expecting it to go out a little bit, but didnt know it would go out that much.  Never been to this spot before so i had no clue.  DNR showed up by chance to check us, and just made sure we were ok.  Tide still going out.    DNR Called it in that we were stuck so someone would know were were out there adn offered to let us use his phone to let our family know what was going on.  Decided to head back to the blind since we had time to kill.  Half decoys were now sitting on the mud sideways.  Still no birds flying.  Two hours later, tide shifted enough to get the boat free.  Ugg   Angry Angry  Cry

Been there, done that. Usually mud, you can push/pull off? Did something similiar a few yrs back. Cept we were stranded till 11:30 at night, 15 degrees, and about a 25mph north wind. On sand though! Grin I'm going in the am. Hope it isn't pouring. Rain is ok, not heavy rain though.

yeah it was mud.  That super nasty soft stuff.  We tried to push it off, but by the time it was dead low tide, boat was about 10 ft from water, with nice vacume between mud and flat bottom.  I think it could of been pulled off from the other side of creek or bigger boat, but trying to push 1000 lbs through the mud when you cant get a footing wasnt happening.
