Hey Yankee brothers, NC state wide pot season opens on 1/25/07 @3pm can't wait either. I know of about a dz guys ready to start dropping pots, closer to the 1st of Feb though. How more days do ya guys have to wait? Grin Getting ready to place a order on a box of JO unless I can get a local vendor to supply(sell) me his blend. They run about the same price as JO (but from world spice co)

My kids crab as strikers for local comms. My oldest crabs with his 66 year old granddad and he wont put over until late March( the river) water temp will be in the mid/upper 50's by then. Crabbers with big boats 24' and up crab along the outerbanks, where the water is a balmy 60 but the crabs are swimming. I go back to the DR for my second follow up on my surgery on the 29th. Depending on what he  says I may get some necks and take the kids (they dip) and handline down at the lake. I can taste the crabs now. Speaking of which I just ate some of the biggest stone crab claws I've ever had. Getting more this weekend Grin

Come on Tat join in lets go and get us some crabs bro. My mouth is watering now for those stoners. I'm trying to get 40/50 lbs of them I'll pick out the meat and freeze use it later and try it in some of the recipes that call for crab meat. Heck of a better deal than wasting your money on foreign crabmeat.
