hi guys, I just moved to MD and I love to crabbing. Could anyboby tell me where is the nearest good place for crabbing around Batimore area.

coves off of any creeks will work great right now.

think of it like its a water peninsula (water surounded by land except on one side)

it could also stand for a pier since a pier is surronded by water on 3 sides

If you tie your boat to the peir, then your boats a cove and or a penninsula if you wanna get technical

Ok, after a year of visiting this cool site, I decided to register. One thing I won't do is give you my favorite spot since I know what kind of thread it would develop. I will however give you my 40+ years of experience. Coves are good for softies. If you want good crabs, find the mouth of a river and follow the edge of a chanel. If you have a boat and you are in the Baltimore area, try the Magothy. They don't taste as good as the eastern shore crabs though!

I like to consider a cove like a lagoon, only larger and shallower. lol and no skipper or giligan running around.
