I want to try bull lips to see how they compare with chickn necks on my trotline.  Anyone know where I can get them?

I live in Wilmington but work in Baltimore, so anywhere in close proximity to either place wouldnt be  problem.

Anyone use them?  Do you store them in brine or freeze?  How well do they work?
What do you use?

Considering that "bull lip" is essentially meat from the facial area of slaughtered cattle, your best bet would be a slaughter house. I doubt that anyone else would carry it.

  Yes, that is what i have heard too, also some grocery stores have them, but not many.

bull lips are carried by g&h bait on route 50 in easton md. they come frozen or salted and are sold by the  40 lb container. also most good butcher shops can get them for you, you just have to ask

Like RJ said most butcher shops sell them. Also I tend to use them later in the season when the crabs are tearing up the bait and don't care what they are eating Bull lips last longer. My experince has been they don't work as well in the beginning of the season seems like crabs are more selective then, Good Luck.

White's Market on the main road (rt 363?) to Deal Island carries barrels of bull lips (salted).
