Has anyone ever crabbed at Linda Pedersen Park in Spring Hill? I have a crabbing buddy that lives on the west side of the state that would like to try something on his side of the state on our next crabbing adventure. We usually crab on the east coast and I was looking on Goggle Maps for some spots on the west side of the state to try and it looked like it might have potential. Ever crabbed it?

Al,
I wouldn't wast your time in that park. Nothing but small crabs and not much space for serious crabbing.  Go about 10 min. further to Bayport Park: 4140 Cortez Blvd., 1.5-acre park on the Gulf of Mexico at the end of SR 50 W. Includes picnic tables, pavilions, grills, fishing pier and two boat ramps.

Ya gota get there early ( before daylight ) to beat a few of the regulars.  Try to catch an outgoing tide and you should do good.

Good Luck
Ray

Ray and Gator,
Thanks for your advise. I'll check the tide charts and pick a day. I'll post a report when I get over there.

Thanks for the info Grin I have friends that live in that area and it's nice to know I can have something to do while down there visiting.

Plan on it Tat. My Mom, wife and myself were planning on going sometime in June after the kids get out of school for summer break. My wife has never been to that part of Florida before. Actually she's only been to Orlando, so this will be a beautiful treat for her. My plan was to go crabbing with our friends family and try to get enough for a little feast. -or-may have to buy some from Capt Bob's
