Don't feed her!!!!! Keep Basket Case seperated from her too.... feed him seperatly though.(different tank
). Once seperated (if she a "true" red line peeler) she'll go head and do her thing, then put
them
back together
? No he'll eat her before she hardens up.
ASK RD, he'll set you straight!

I think tonight might be the night, because she JUST lost her appetite.... Basket still ate but even he suspected that something GREAT was about to happen...... I just wish I had a video of them waving at me this morning..... Anyway, I shall give a report in the morning..... I refuse to blast in on them with bright lights and the camera. ( I hate the paparazzi)

Jeff keep clean remember this is a family forum
I'm play wit ya Bro.
The males that I have seen do eat the soft crab. I think it does'nt matter which sex though. Peelers give off a scent off some type. Sometimes male will get along with the sook softie and cuddle to do "his" biz. I have found bright lights help the shedding process I don't know why either and don't know why they pop more often during a sevre lighting storm. I have never seen a crab study report on this, if there is one I would love to read it.

It does happen sometimes but not often or there wouldn't be any left, leave them together and all will be fine, if he starts to eat her the beat him to the punch.

She did not molt last night. They were acting like she MIGHT molt this morning. (Pushing the aquarium rocks out to the side and digging a "nest"). But it never happened.... I think they have "stage fright" and feel threatened during the day.
