Hey folks! Thanks for all the good info in the posts. I was wondering if anyone knows any good spots to go crabbing off the ICW coming out of Isle of Palms marina. I've been to a place near Dewees Island that was incredible, but was wondering if there are other areas out there. Also, is it too early to start crabbing or should I give it a go this weekend? Thanks in advance.

It was a bit too rough to take the boat out so we just went down to the Pitt St. Bridge. We got a bunch, but they were all too small, we only got a half dozen keepers, which my wife turned into a few crabcakes. It was a very windy day, and although there were a lot of other people down there, they all seemed to be having the same luck as us. Maybe once this front moves out and it warms back up some of the bigger ones will move in. Lemme know if anyone else had a better time of it. Thanks!

yep, Mount Pleasant, SC. We just moved down from Gaithersburg, MD (just outside of DC) and it's incredible down here. We couldn't be happier. An example: they pay you to drink Bud Light!

My wife and I were putzing around this morning, went to the gym, ran some errands, then stopped over at a brand-new Publix grocery store. They had some great deals going on, and as we were finishing up I stopped by the beer aisle to pick up a 12-pack. There were some dudes in suits looking at the beer display and I took no notice of them. I politely asked if I could get through, picked up a 12-pack of Bud Light and HELLO! one of the guys says "we work for Budweiser and we'd like to thank you for your patronage, here's twenty bucks and another 12-pack on us!"

I love the good people at Budweiser...although as my wife pointed out, we probably paid for their kids college tuition with the amount we drank with friends and relatives on a golf weekend in April!
