Hi - My husband and I are planning to go later this week to the Point Pleasant, NJ area and try our luck on the River (Metidiconk).  Does anyone have any reports or (even better) good spots to try?

Get out to the Manasquan River...I don't live in NJ anymore and this is my very first post here...I am so glad I found this place!  This is where my dearly departed dad and I took out our little Boston Whaler and took in at least two bushels of crabs per day!  On lines!  No crab traps for us!

That, I am not sure of...but there are plenty of places out there to rent small boats.
