Crab'n is a way of life....

Need soft crabs for this weekend.  Went last night to make sure I could pick them up this afternoon.  Small operator, 50 floats, near me has always taken care of me.  I asked for 2 dozen and he told me "If I can shed 24 I'll save them for you".  I told him that I thought with the full moon this weekend he would have plenty.  Here is the scary part.  He told me, "Jack, this is the worst year I have ever had since I've been in business."

Normally I get enough peelers for myself but I havent had a single one for awhile so I went to him.  Did not like the sound of things.   Roll Eyes

the peeler potters are not getting enough to keep their floats running.  I would guess that 80% of the floats in the Saxis area are shut down.

I was able to get soft shells pretty  cheap all summer from my crab  guy...but he's out of stock now!  And  they were  pretty cheap!
