Sittin here watchin all the rain come down, thinking how it's ashame, Pezz, has looked forward to comming on to crab, when I got a call from my grand daughter in Delaware and she told me she just got back from crabbing and got a lot of sunburn and 3/4 a bushel of crabs . They went out of Gull Point over at Oak Orchard and crabbed a little north of the Gull Point ramp. Lets Hope ,Pezz, found some sun and crabs today. Big Al

Hey Al...do you ever use a trotline in Delaware? Do you know what the regulations are concerning them. I looked all over the DNRC web site and can't find anything.........

Pontooner, I've used traps and hand line most of the time. I think trot lines are allowed but I'll have to check into the regs to let you know the law. I do know you best have a ramp sticker when using the ramp at Gull Point as the rangers are always checking once or twice a trip. Will let you know on the trot line S A P, Good Crabbing to you BIg Al.

Pontooner, Trotlines are ok in Delaware. According to the regs. there is no limit on the length. Same for hand lines and traps. A recreational crabber may have two pots with out a licences, they must all have a white buoy with the owners permanent address on the buoy or a waterproof tag attatched to the buoy. The pot must be tended to at least every 72 hours. Daily limit for rec. crabber is 1 bushel. Hope this helps. Big AL
