Good move Steve, it was the right thing to do. At times things got way to personal, and half way through a tread you couldn't tell what the original post was in reference to.

This is what happens when a board becomes too large....too many people who come on for a post once in a while and stir up trouble.  The board has lost its "family" feel and I think we are all seeing that.  So this is a move in the right direction.  I know..believe me, I know..used to have a small candle and soap making board and then it got really big..then I just deleted it!  Too many problems.
I was even getting phone calls. 

As much as I love our constitutional right to say anything that is on our minds, there is no need for flaming and insults.  If you don't like a post, just scroll on by.  If you don't like a particular poster, do the same. 

I want us to be "family" again.  And let's get back to crabbing!

You've done the right thing, Steve..purging the board is not necessarily a bad thing.
