Here is the start of the season. The boat is in the water with ten Lobster pots on board along with two live cars. One for Lobster and one for Scungili. The Bunker bait is from last year and a bit ripe! Pots were dropped in on 5-21-07 and no one was in my spot! Happy days! Smiley

Can't get much better than that, Jim.  How long do you let the pots soak?

Two to three days as the weather allows! I'll check them tomorrow. Wish me luck. I'm using some old bait!

burley, I fish out of Norwalk CT. It's about 10 miles west of Bridgeport.
I posted pictures of CT Lobster last year. Look for the posts.

there was a time I fished out of smithtown on long island. before the die off. couldent hold on any more and mooved down here to crab. I still have friends who are in it. They say the lobsters are only slightly better but the average price has doubeled to tripeled. that can make up for a big lack of product. again good luck.

Wholesale price for Lobster maxed at about $15-17 pound  Shocked a couple of weeks ago. It has since come down to more reasonable prices since then but still high.

Better days are coming, Jim.

At least you know they're in the area.  Somebody had to knock up the girls.   Wink

I was in the same spot last year and did well. All I got were males! It must have been off season in the red light district then!  laugh

5-26-07
One set of pots got hit and the doors were open; two short males which were released.
The other set there were three legal Lobsters waiting for me; first ones of the year.
Water temperature here is 56.1 at surface and 55 where the pots are.
