I live in New Castle, DE and would like to try and find some bridges, piers or docks that I could crab from using box traps.  I would be willing to drive as far down as Dover to find a decent spot.  Has anyone ever had any success between New Castle and Dover for crabs and mind sharing the spot with me?  I am new to the area and want to get out this summer and try my luck.  Decent directions would be needed as I do know route 9 a little but not all that well.  Thank you very much.

There's a lot of bridges on Rt.9 you can crab from. If you're heading south on Rt.9 Turn left on to Rt.6. That will take you to Woodland Beach. You can crab from the pier or in the backwater.  Just south of dover is the St. Jones river which has a few spots to crab from shore.

I stopped by your bait shop a couple of times last year and bought some frozen bunker.  I will have to stop this year and bait up and talk with you.  Thank you.

HI...

Is this worth visiting yet at this time of year?  Looking to possibly go out tomorrow, but don't want to waste time if it's not happening.

Thanks!
