I might go crabbing sometime this week at the Wye....  I will be renting a boat...  Where should I go once I leave Schnaitman's?  This is my first time out, renting a boat...  Any advice would be great!

Thanks!

Unlike Big Al who left an X on the side of his boat, I left two on the Wye.  Just lay your line or traps from one X to the other.

Big Blue,
As you can see know one gives up there Hot spots. The real problem is just trying to find a spot with all the boats out there and not ticking someone off by being to close to their turf.

Turf....

Does this mean if your set BEFORE some "regular" shows up, They will demand to take your spot, thus leading to a confrontation. Or do you mean that its just the sheer numbers of people out there running trap n trot lines.

Briancrabber,
On a nice day the place is crowded. The weekends are the worst.Your best bet is to skip work and go during the week.

Hey Brian, just bring a few grenades, after you toss one in the other guys boat the confrontation usually is ended. Grin KC is the only one I know to withstand a grenade, but you can tell, guy was like a gorilla before I took that picture.  Grin

That's may get you a spot, no one will certainly go near you, especially if you can kick up some dust. Grin
